If you're looking for a place

You can search and contact owners without an account. We don't track you and we don't use advertising or analytics cookies.

If you tell an owner you're coming to a viewing, we keep your name and mobile number and show them to that owner so they know who to expect. We don't use them for anything else.

If you list a place

When you list a place we collect:

• your name, mobile number and email
• the address and map pin, the price and the details of the place
• your photos of the place
• a photo of your ID card
• if you ask for the Verified badge or Featured, your bank transfer slip and your ownership papers or the owner's written permission

What is public on your listing

• the photos, price, details and description
• the street and the map pin
• the name and mobile number you gave, so tenants can call or WhatsApp you

Live listings are also posted on our Telegram channel with the same details.

What stays private

• your ID card, ownership papers and transfer slips. Only our team sees them.
• your email. We use it to send your sign-in codes and updates about your listing.

Why we use it

• to show your listing and let tenants reach you
• to check that listings are real: we match the ID to the name and number on the listing
• to sign you in to My listings with a code sent to your email
• to keep the site safe: we record the network address and browser of sign-ins and uploads, so we can stop abuse

We never sell your details or share them for marketing.

Services we use

These companies handle data for us, only to run the site:

• Cloudflare: hosting, our database and file storage
• Telegram: our team reviews new listings in a private Telegram group, and live listings are posted on our public channel
• Resend: sends our emails
• CARTO and OpenStreetMap: the map tiles. Your browser loads them directly, so they see your network address.
• Google Maps: only when you tap a link to open a place in Google Maps

Cookies

We only use cookies to keep you signed in to My listings. While you fill in the listing form, your progress is saved in your own browser, so you can come back to it. Nothing is sent to us until you press Send.

How long we keep it

• Listings stay while they're on the site. When you mark a place rented, it comes off the site straight away.
• ID cards, papers and slips are kept while your listing is with us. Ask us and we delete them.
• Viewing visitors' names and numbers are kept until the viewing time has passed and the listing is closed.

Your choices

You can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them, or have your listing and documents deleted. Email hello@landlordsmaldives.com or WhatsApp us from the number on your listing. We reply within 7 days and delete within 14 days. Posts on our Telegram channel are removed at the same time.

You can take a listing down yourself at any time in My listings.

Security and age

Documents are stored privately and are never on public pages. Our team signs in with passkeys. Listing a place is for people aged 18 or over.

Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. Big changes are announced on the site.
